Club Championships, NK, NJK, and More!

Dear SCA Members,

In this newsletter we are again sharing various updates, about the upcoming club championships, a successful NK for SCA and more!

Club championships
It is again time to compete for the most wanted title in The Netherlands: SCA club champion! The club championships will be in May and June at the FOS. As usual, the seniors and older youth will be able to compete in all three weapons. So also a good opportunity to try a different weapon! The first competition is upcoming Tuesday 19:00, on youth foil. The full schedule can be found here.

Second fencing hall FOS
Some members might have already seen it, the second fencing hall in the FOS is ready to be used! On Tuesday and Thursday evenings, the seniors can fence here. With the second hall we are hoping to offer more fencing to our members and better handle the busy training sessions.

Successful NK for SCA
On 22 and 23 April, the Dutch senior championships (NK) took place in Amstelveen, and it was again a successful edition for SCA! Valerie Buijse became Dutch champion in women’s foil after some strong fencing. Marleen Buitenhuis again became national champion in women’s sabre and Daniël Giacon won for the fifth time in men’s foil. For men’s foil, there even was a fully red SCA podium!. We would like to thank Tréville for the good organization and all the SCA trainers for the coaching during the competition. The full results can be found here.

NJK Den Bosch
On 17 and 18 June, the Dutch youth championships (NJK) will take place in Den Bosch and we hope to again participate with many SCA fencers! Registration can be done via the nahouw.

Fencing on Saturdays
The coming time, fencing on Saturdays will continue! The next editions will be on 20 May and 3 June. So come by for a refreshing morning training!
