Are you ready to be crowned as the next SCA champion? So please remember that from the week starting 28 May we will have our club championship – check the calendar attached or the dates here below to see which day you will be competing – looking forward to seeing you on the strip!

NK Equipe

Two Titles for SchermCentrum Amsterdam at the National Team Championships!

In the foil weapon category, the first team of SCA won gold for the twelfth consecutive time. The team, consisting of Dirk Jan van Egmond, Daniël Giacon, Teun Jans Köhneke, and Suhayl Nawar, secured the victory after a day of excellent fencing, defeating the second team of SCA in the final. This second team was composed of Axel Zoons, Cedric van der Berg, Fabian Koster, and coach Matthijs Rohlfs.
In the women’s foil category, the SCA team, consisting of Tessa Koster, Chiara Bortot, Emily Kaho, and Heleen Schipperheijn, earned silver after a final match against HollandSchermen from Alkmaar.

In the sabre weapon category, the women’s team claimed their second title of the weekend. The team made up of Enli Chiang, Karen Fischer, Fleur Van Laere, and Maria Xiaoman Li, won the title for the sixth consecutive time. The final was against Scaramouche from Arnhem. The second women’s team won bronze, as did the men’s sabre team.

The coaches of SCA are pleased with the results. We have seen strong fencing and a real team spirit.

SCA BBQ

The long-awaited BBQ is back  –  keep your agenda free for Saturday 15 June!

Get ready to celebrate summer at the club – after the Saturday training from 13 to 15, we will get our energies back at the Frans Otten Stadion restaurant (right above the fencing hall).
This is a great chance to train and get yourselves ready for the championships, or not and simply join fellow fencers to bond, relax, and enjoy some BBQ delights. Everyone is welcome, whether you’re young or old, recreational or competitive!

The FOS will handle the BBQ, ensuring a hassle-free evening.

We will also have a potluck dessert table, so we invite you to bring a small dessert to share, whether a home-cooked or store-bought treat.
